Need tire help
I have a 1982 Collector's Edition Vette with a little over 5,700 original miles. The tires on the car are originals that the car was sold new with. As is typically the case with a car that has spent so much time sitting over 22 years, the tires have developed flat spots and have become unsafe, IMO. I want, if at all possible, to purchase tires identical to the ones the car was outfitted with at the plant. They are Goodyear Eagle GT white letters in size 255/60R15. Can these be bought anywhere? I'm very big into keeping cars as original as possible. I appreciate your help, in advance!

I know the tire you are talking about it is a white outlined tire with square shoulders I looked on http://www.cokertire.com but they had nothing Mid america sells a GT II that is the picture below its a good year but not the same as yours they get 89.99 for them.

Eckler's catalogue list reproducction tires at $119.99 each. http://www.ecklers.com. Mid America Designs list reproduction tire also at http://www.madvet.com . Also see Zip Products catalogue at http://www.zip-corvette.com They list rreporduction tires for $97 to $115. each I asssume other Corvette specialty catoloques list them also :) :) :)
