I was just (dreamily) checking out the C5 for sale section and saw several for sale with less than 1000 miles on them. Please forgive my ignorance but how does that happen? Some are 02s and 03s, so you buy a new (fairly expensive) car and only drive it a few miles and decide you don't like it? Did you test drive it first? Just for clarification, if I bought a new C5, that biotch would have 1000 miles in the first weekend and I live on an island. If anybody has a explanation please let me know. I just can't figure it out.
The reason I don't put that many miles on my C3s is it always rains here and my windshield wipers don't work. :D
Disclaimer: Not trying to step on anybodys toes, I really dont understand.
I think that if you can afford one of the new vettes then you probably have several cars to drive and they only use them a few thousand miles before getting bored with them. Not trying to be insulting, more power to em.
Now my car has 146.000 on it when the speedo broke 5 years ago and I still drive it. (maybe 200.000 now)
My guess is that they have other cars to drive or they missed payments and the Vette was repossessed. I proably average less then 1000 miles a year on my C4. I had my C3 for about 2 years and have only put about 3000 miles on it. I try not to drive in the rain because then the underneath gets dirty
and I hate having to clean that up.
:seeya
Mine has 52K. It had 38K on it when I bought it 9 years ago, but it was stored for 6 of those years while I tried being married  I've put about 2k a year on it the last 2 years. I consider it a toy so it only comes out for nice weather.
Ordometer says ~42k, but it hasn't worked in the 10 years that I've owned it. By my estimates, I've probably driven it less than 2000 miles. (The whole car was in boxes for a good 4 years...)
