Just my personal opinion but I think they look like a combination of real cheap standard rims and something exclusive... Really strange design, don't like them at all. But that's just me ;)
American Racing makes one that looks like that old Halibrand. You can see what it would look like on your car at their website: http://www.americanracing.com/#

You had to be there... :p:
BTW If you're really interested in Halibrands you might be interested in the REAL THING.
Personally, I think they look better on the old AC Cobras. I like Paul67's new TTDs. However, it's your car and your money. If you like those wheels, buy em up!!
Personally I like them. There the AR "salt flat" wheel and look really nice with the knock off spinner...there a nice alternative "vintage" style wheel to the TTII's
There was a 68 or 69 camaro in one of the hot roding magazines recently that had them..looked sweet.
My dad has a '57 Vette, and I've been trying to convince him to get those wheels, because they look really cool on solid axle Vettes. Definitely a "vintage" look.

Thanks Nick ! .....I know they're old school but they're also somewhat 'rare' and more unique than the torq-thrusts since they've been widely reproduced. The torq thrusts are  but I'm always open minded to having a one-of-a-kind vette. :chevy
Your car Nick is very nice & I like the spinners......where did u get them ?
Also, I was entertaining the thought of painting the center portion of the wheels black for a meaner look. :reddevil
By the looks of the Torq Thurst spinners will fit (the five eared caps look the same)
American racing sell them, you can see them on Paul67's recent post about his wheels also carriageworks make some really nice ones..check them out at http://www.carriageworksinc.com/Knock_Offs.jsp
Thanks Mark !
.....couldn't get my java script to work (needs updating).
And thanks Nick for the info. on the spinner.
Those spinners ROCK ! :D .....Definitely on my list for mods.
Just to ramble a bit......I've been away from the forum for several months....and away from the C3 section for probably a year (at least).
My C5 was sold in October, my daughter was born in November,.....
.....So now is the time to give the '68 Vette all the attention <after my daughter, Sarah of course ;)
I checked on halibrand wheels back sometime ago. I called them directly and their response was no hali. wheels for corvettes of any years. They may have changed this was about 99 or 00. :nono:
