Leaving For Paint Today
I loaded my car on the back of the truck to get it painted this morning. Finally, the red hood will match the rest of the car. I removed most of the paint in the garage using a razor blade. It came off really easy and took me about 2 hours a night for about a week. Glad to see it going. I asked the painter if I could come and take pics of the progress and he was all for it. Stay tuned for more details........
Congrats Eddie! Trust me when I say that your stomach will be in your throat the first time you see your car with a brand new shiny paint job. I'm looking forward to seeing the pics.

Re: Leaving For Paint Today (Budizzo)
You've been waiting for this a long time Eddie. It should be done just in time for the cruisin' season.
Did you have any trouble removing the front bumper & bumperettes? The nuts & bolts on mine seem to have rusted into one piece. :mad When I start to apply some real torque, the bumberettes start to bend.

Re: Leaving For Paint Today (Jughead)
Len, getting my bumpers off was a pretty iffy job. I did soak the bolts with penetrant several times. Try to loosen the bolt then tighten it just a little. Eventually I got it off. And yes, I remember it seeming to bend. I don't think you will bend the bumperette. That thing is pretty solid.
