I just run 10-30 dino oil. I heard the synthetic is not as good as dino oil when it comes to engines that sit alot and are only driven occassionally.
Synthetic to get the most value from it requires alot of mileage between oil changes. I like to change my oil often and will sometimes drain it from the vet and put it in the truck and put the fresh oil in the vet.
I don't use staight oils . I feel they are too thick on startup.
Even with 10-30 I get 80 pounds of oil pressure on startup.
I agree. Everyone will have their own special oil they use. I also use Amsoil. I even sold the product for some time and will probably start selling it again when I retire in two years. I use 20W50 in my 78. Great Stuff.
I use Castrol 20/50 im my gas burners and Chevron Delo 400 Multigrade in my Cummins. Wow you were right everyone does use differnt oils. I think no matter what oil you use the the most important thing is to keep your motor cool and full of oil
