I say do it yourself !!
Painting a vette will cost ya around 5k. This is because it is labor intensive.
it's all in the prep work !
With todays base coat clear coat paints and fast drying reducers.
Its goof proof.......so ya run the clear a little....your going to wet sand and buff anyway !
you're local paint supply store will be glad to set ya up with the correct assortment of products and how tos

If you dont know what your doing it can be very overwhelming. you have to hand sand almost the entire car. and if you dont sand correctly you can make peaks and valleys in the paint. not to mention that fiberglass is no fun to work on.
now im not against doing it yourself, being that my dad and i did mine... but it cost about 3,000 for materials. and we had our own tools. it also took about a year and a half. if you arent mecanically inclined, or basically dont relly know what your doing, i wouldnt start on a vette. they are not the easiest cars to paint. a pickup, blazer, or boxy vehicle would be better because its flat and more power tool friendly. :yesnod:
My biggest problem is I have very little spare time and I am sure this is a labor intensive job. I am willing to pay four to five thousand for a quality job. I am sure there are shops within three or four hours of Little Rock who can do a quality job at a reasonable price but unfortunately I have yet to speak to anyone who can speak from experience and recommend someone.
