i was really upset today, i have been asking my wife to wash her car and she hasn't so finally i did it today...no biggie
problem is.. we have some really nice bbs wheels on her bullitt, the are the grey two piece 18's... very smooth, very light..well i guess some brake dust has worked it's way into the wheel.. I washed them and most everthing cleaned but there are little black specs and I can't get them off with my fingernail..tried soaking in simple green..didn't work
what next? I am very careful about what I put on these wheels, so any advice would be helpful.
G out and buy yourself Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish, and work all the black out. The cream will turn black, and this will let you know that it is working. But do not let it dry!!!! Then rub it off. This will take a while, but the results are excellent. Then finish off with Mothers Chrome Polish which will make a water proof bead on the rims, even if they aren't chrome. Expext to spend about 14 bucks at Wal-Mart, and about an hour and a half to get them looking brand new!!!
