finishing up the rt. trailing arm install, and mine will be without french locks :mad twisted both of them,,, a search shows that this happens alot, going to get new lock washers in the mourning, thats what was on there before the rebuild, couldn't even make 50ft lbs and started to twist :( there has to be a better way..... bushog
I had the same problem until I got a set of SS ones from Bairs. Bend the lock back away from the bolt head and use a little never sieze under the bolt head. Slowly torque them but be sure the bolt head doesn't catch on the lock or it will twist. Once you get them torqued to 70 ft/lbs then bend the tab over.
SInce I started doing them this way I haven't had a problem,plus maybe the SS locks are a better quality then the new GM ones I used?

I think what he's saying has something to with belgian locks but that being another story and belgians being nuts..just joking I like belgians...something like that. I have NO idea what it has to do with this all :confused:
