Default Clutch Noise
My 71 has started to make a fairly loud noise when the clutch is engaged. It only happens when starting from a stand still and doesn't happen everytime. The noise is a whining, not a klunk and does not occur when fully engaged. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like the old throw out bearing needs replacement.

Odometer shows 74K which I believe to be correct. Is this a fix right away or something that can wait?

Personally, I'd limit my driving to very short trips until I got it fixed. When the throwout goes, you'll be stranded. Also, I've seen them fly apart and damage the clutch and pressure plates. :cheers:
