I need to replace one of my parking lamp/turn signal wire extensions. I ordered the new part and it has a rubber piece with 3 prongs in it. Only problem is it looks like Bubba cut the opposite connector off on the wiring harness and straight wired in the light socket. I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get the connector that goes into the extensions I bought.
Mark, I was missing a grill and that harness on my 71 when I bought it, I bought a new old stock grill and a used harness from a vette recycler in California. Thats probably the only way you will find one. Its a special little plug GM probably forgot about long ago.
Possible, but I doubt it..... I can ask him IF he shows up at our local club meeting tommorrow night. Probably be better to send him an email though. There are alot of recyclers that should have it, I think I paid about $10 for mine.
poopie , I must be having another brain fart , I replaced my entire wiring system , and I still have the eng side in a trash bag. IM me your info and I'll take a look and see if bubba left mine intact. My car was missing those front parking lamp wire sections, (matter of fact I still haven't purchased them) , so I'm not sure on the condition of those connectors , but I'll look
Do you have the bulkhead connector for the headlight harness? Anybody know if it is the same as the 68. I seem to have cracked mine in the removal process. :banghead:
I would like to just repin the harness to a new connector b/c the harness is in good shape.
Here are some pics of the piece I am looking for. The first photo shows the drivers side with the connection to the extension for the light. The second photo has what the connector on the harness looks like.
