79 frame swap/body off update
I finally was able to get out rent a truck and go pick up the original 79 frame I bought to swap out on my current frame thats pretty well rusted out and rotted in some areas on the "project car" I picked up about 5 months ago.
hopefully these links will work and you'll see what I'm dealing with.
I've prepped the replacement frame entirely this weekend, took all of the little surface rust there was off with a coarse wire brush wheel, sprayed w/ converter, primed and painted, took about 12-15 hours total over 3 days.
and this is what it looks like now sitting in the garage. Well this was the 3/4 of the way done pic.
I've talked to the master mechanic who's prob going to do the frame swap for me I just need to meet up with him and talk specifics, plus he's got the extra certification in hi perf chevy! I'll prob end up helping him which will cut the price, compared to the original quote I got for 5-7K.

 5-7 thousand for the frame swap? I don't know about that, have you considered doing it all yourself? It might take longer, but then you can put a few thousand into your engine or a stereo or something. Seriously, it's like 8 bolts and dissconnecting some engine stuff. I did mine in a garage that looks strikingly similair to yours...
By the way, how much did you pay for that frame?

i've considered doing it myself but my father would kill me in the process he complains enough about all my stufflaying around and tools and everything as it is. and I don't have the space necessary to do it nor the tools to do it all.
The place I got that quote from does that professionally for the last 30 years, specializing in C3's only using i forgot the brand name of parts doign it to the hilt up here in Fitchburg, MA they're the ones that built Roger Rabbit's vette that sits in the corvette museum.
And the good thing there is no engine or tranny in the car now, which is how I bought it. So as soon as I sell my motorcycle pictured here
I'll have enough for the frame swap and almost all of a new crated motor.
The is from California that I paid 2100 shipped for. Much better than the 3-4k quotes that I got.
