Just dropped the gas tank to find the build sheet is only half readable. The rest is worn away. I can't get it off because it seems to be glued on and will only rip when pulled on. I've heard there may be one behind the glove box????
Did see that my 80 had the HD Battery as an option, 1 of only 1700....ooh, aah....wow..... :lolg:

For the most part mine was unreadable also. There are companies that can restore them (somtimes) if you were desparate for some reason.
In my case I tried a few things and was able to see the original dealer and a few of the options. THat's about it.
I am in the same boat. I could read a little over half of it. I was happy to see the car was from GA. This would explain the great frame condition for a car in Iowa.

Mine wasn't there when I bought the vette. I have checked most of the other locations too and have not yet found one :banghead:
