Low speed vibration
The universal don't have enough of a range of motion to be rotated why the wheels are hanging down. The universal hits the yoke hard on only a small spot causing the entire wheel to raise up while this area passes over the spot. This happens every rotation so the loading for just a moment is very high. If you remove the yoke and universal you will see one spot where it hits. On mine I took a round file and slight releived this area so the 1/2 shafts can be turned over without hitting.
If the car is running with the wheels hanging down the entire tire/brake assembly plus trailing arms are lifted every time this tight spots comes around.
