TH400 casting number help!
A friend called and gave me this number

He's trying to fing out if this number is original to a 1974 Corvette. I've done a bunch of research but haven't found any good info on the net. All I can tell so far is that the "ck" definetley means Corvette TH400 but I can't decipher the other numbers. Any idea's?

According to the Ron session TH400 book,The right side plate contains the code(CK is corvette),the model year, and serial number.
The VIN number is stamped into the left case just above the oil pan. That will tell you if it's the original case anyway.
