Adjusting Door Striker bolts
Has anyone adjusted the door striker bolts? The one on my Pass side needs to be about 1/16 of an inch further in. Door gets hung on it slightly.
Is it simply a matter of turning it?

You will need a torx socket of the right size. I think it is a 70? Other than that, you just loosen it, slide it up or down to the desired spot for the right closing, etc. and tighten down. The nut of the inside is caged, so it cannot fall down. I have replaced my strikers w/o problem.

I have messed with them quite a bit. You need a T-50 Torx. I would mark around it before loosening it with a pencil or grease pencil, so you know the original position. You will be able to move it in all directions, so I loosen it only enough to be able to move it without marring the paint. Then just keep fiddling until it's just right. Watch the alignment of the body panels as well. Moving this will affect the body lines a bit. It's nothing complex, just takes some trial and error.
