Well gang we are up to the Gel Coat phase!! What a blast this is!! Found out that this stuff is a pian to shoot, hope it is worth it, does give it a good base to start with, so I gues it will be worth it.
Well on to the photos:
masked and ready for Gel
Gel coat on.
Guide coat on , will be ready for sanding tomorrow.
Stay tuned for the next exciting episode of, I love paint fumes!! :lolg:
Looks great I know its been alot of hard work up to that point ...I,m at the same stage, but plan on sealing with DP sealer ....
What type of paint gun are you using ? and how bad was the over spray and fumes painting in your garage? Its my plan also ....THanks for the up date
 What color is your finish coat going to be?
The fumes were not bad with this stuff, just smells like the rest of the stuff used up to this point, i.e. resin. Over spray is minimal, I am using a finishline III for the gel and the primer, and my sata nr2000 for the color coat.
I decided to stick with the monza red, will be shooting glaserit 22 line single stage. I had a couple buddies talk this stuff up so much I had to try it. $$$ about 300.00 more than ppg.
The single stage paint is something I,m looking into right now as it may be easier to fix any defects and theres no time restraints if I do need to fix anything .....Is there any online sites how to or info on the single stage paints? ...$300 more , but no clearcoat to buy ..right
