Default Lower Ball joint bump stop?

Which way is the bump stop supposed to point on replacement ball joints on the lower control arm. Forward (front of car) or toward the rear?

Towards the front. The stud or the thick bolt head goes towards the front. Look at the back of the lower A arm and you will find a welded on stop.
The stud goes to the front.
