There seem to be many corvette magazines. Do you guys have a favorite? I enjoy reading tech articles, seeing show cars, how-to's etc. This forum is awesome, if they just printed it with color pics every month I would buy it!
Actually the best "vette" magazine for me (that would be with a modified C3 Vette, carburated engine, late 60's-70's technology) is not actually a Vette magazine at all but something along the lines of Chevy High Performance or Carcraft. They rarely feature vettes but have a ton of information on small block chevy engines, cams, suspensions, etc and they also have cool features on other muscle cars.
I need to know how to keep the car alive, go faster, be able to stop, etc...I don't want to know about the new C6, about EFI, or what wax to use. That's just me.

Re: Best Vette magazine? (lotahp)
CORVETTE FEVER . My car was in August 2003 issue. They know how to pick the COOL cars. :jester
Now owned by the same company, so I can also say
VETTE Magazine. My car was also in there in December 1996. They also know how to pick the COOL cars. :jester
Add to these two orvette Enthusiast (formerly Cars & Parts Corvette) which has some very good tech articles, and Corvette Magazine (not so much for the tech articles but they do have some very interesting stuff).
I have subscibed to both Vette and Corvette Fever since 1989. I have seen them both be really good for C3's, as well as in general, and then really s**k. I have enjoyed Enthusiast of late. They are all the old CF folks from before the buyout.
I've been getting CF since 1985. It has been through a lot of changes. Last year they seemed to be going back to the old format for tech articles on the c1,2,3's but lately hasn't been much. I looked through the latest issue and put it down in about 4 minutes. I just didn't find much interest in it. Same held true for Vette, only I stopped getting it years ago. Of course after almost 20 years how much more can they said on the old cars?

Between Corvette Fever and Vette, I like Vette. The best quality magazine, with the best written articles, pictures, etc, is Corvette Magazine. It just came out about a year ago...............

:iagree: For the MODIFIED Vettes.... Broaden your horizons, Super Chevy Magazine, Car Craft, etc. has some great articles and it's a nice variety of different combos that can still apply to the Corvette enthuseist. Even for the stock Corvette, there are some trouble-shooting articles that can apply.
I've had subscriptions to all of them at one time or another. Each one seems to get repetitive and boring after a while. I used to read them cover to cover. Now I rarely spend more than 15 mins looking at each one. When my current Vette related subscriptions run out I will not renew any of them. I would like to see more about alterations, i.e. several different fuel injections setups, front suspension upgrades, what a drive train will take before it breaks, etc.
I would also like to know the trouble spots of doing things. I liked the article on Steeroids in "Vette" so much I decided to get one for my '77. Mine wasn't as easy to install as the article suggested. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy with the unit. But it took three calls to Steeroids to help me with the adjustments. My car was one of the ones that required a little more than the normal car to get it installed.
Same with BT Overdrives. There are a couple of things that aren't in the directions. I had to learn the hard way. It took a couple of calls again.
In other words, I don't need to see more pictures of pretty vettes. I want to get the inside scope on aftermarket installs. Don't look for the easiest install, look for the most difficult.

I get several Corvette magazines, and if I had to cut back to just one it would be Corvette Fever. I save there how to articles with all the pictures. A pictures worth a 1000 words!

:iagree: Corvette Fever has some great tech articles, and usually feature a vette from each generation.
