Holeshot in my C3 - Yipee!!!
I don't often boot the vette from a dead stop but I was at a stoplight on a deserted road on Sunday and the temptation was just too great. As soon as the light turned green, I mashed the gas pedal. The torque converter flashed to its 1800rpm stall and the tires immediately started to squeel. Traction was so limited that the backend actually starting 'walking around' to the right. I started to correct and the tires finally hooked up. I eased off the gas before it banged into second. Needless to say, I was very pleased.

Bow-Tie Overdrives rates the converter with an 1800rpm stall speed. I think it suites my engine's power band nearly perfectly.

To me a holeshot is when the car really hooks and leaps out of the hole. Drop the hammer and the car leaps out. To me that is what I would refer to a hole shot.
If you were running against anyone else they would have got the holeshot.
