Rocker Panel Repair Kit??
Anyone ever bought the rocker panel screw insert repair kit? I was wondering how you put in those new brass inserts? And how you remove the damaged old inserts?

To remove the busted and rusted old nuts you will have to grind them off. I haven't used the repair kit that you mentioned but I used jack nuts to repair mine. They fit in the holes and then you insert a bolt and tighten it. This compresses the jack nut until it becomes tight in the hole. I would imagine the brass ones will be similar. Craig :chevy

Be REAL careful with the repair kit, the brass insert breaks easily. Once I figured this out I used lock-tight and just snugged them up. It's a good product and does a good job. I believe I bought mine from Zip. Jim
