I've installed the new springs, I know the lower control arm spring pocket has a drain hole that the spring should not cover, question is in the upper spring pocket the spring end does not come all the way to the end of that pocket indent which also has a hole. Is this going to be a problem later or shall I press on with assembly ??
Thanks
I can't answer your question, I wish I could :nonod: I have one for you though. How tough a job is it? I need to replace the springs in my 1980. Many thanks

I thought the upper pocket had 2 holes. The end of the spring was to fall between the 2 holes. The last one should not be covered but the 2nd one should.
If the spring covers the last hole the spring is butted up agianst the pocket and that is not a good thing. The spring wants some room to move.
Check for the 2nd hole and see if it is covered. It should be but not the last hole.

Yep there are 2 holes I was just mentioning the one at the end of the pocket for referance. Thanks for your help Norval, you've assisted me before and I Appreciate it thanks !!
Vetteonr... this is a pretty simple job. I rebuilt the entire front end with a VB&P kit. Hardest part was the A-Arm bushings but I got 'em done. I did have a couple questions along the way, but got answers for the great folks here on the forum.
Thus I do try to answer any threads that I can help with.
