I'm finishing up a frame-off on my '75, and somewhere in its storied past the inner fenders were trimmed for extra clearance around the upper a-arms.
No problem, I ordered replacements and de-bonded the old ones.
Unfortunately that was two+ years ago.
I can judge pretty closely where they locate by the traces of the old bonding cement, but a fore & aft reference measurement would be verrrrry helpful.
As long as I have to easily identifiable points and a measurement, I'll be most grateful. I don't remember seeing such info in any of my many references.
I'm thinking like from the face of the firewall to the upper front "corner"
near the hood brace, etc.
Thanks in advance for any and all help, opinions etc.
It would be nice if you had one to measure, but there is one other sure way. Just leave it loose at the hood ledge. Then bolt the hood and brackets together on the car and adjust it to fit with everything together. Mark it where you need it and then bond.
