Sidepipe covers on Ebay....Cheap!
I had been reading alot of post lately on people wanting stock sidepipe covers but don't want to shell out the bukoos of money they cost for them. So here you go. They look to be pretty good.

Those covers look like crap.
You need the exhaust end and the fiberglass insulator ($1000)
The chrome looks terrible and I bet all the mounting holes are messed up
IF the center section is in good shape then it might be worth $200...

Is there an easy way to tell the difference between the fiberglass repros & the originals? I've handled an an original sidepipe (I think it was original) and it seemed like it could have been fiberglass...

The origionals are chrome plated pot metal.
They are four pieces. The center, two ends and the fiberglass insulator.
They are also quite heavy.
The repos are fiberglass, one piece and quite light.
BTW, there are repo metal covers, also made from metal. Same molds even I think.

if it isnt a joke then ive gotta tell you...i wouldnt let those things grace the darkness of my closet...let alone grace the sides of my vette...
they are rotten, old pieces of junk as far as im concerned...
