i heard a clanking noise at idle, and goe's away when engine revs, i checked the flex plate, checked the rockers, it sounded like it was coming from the distributer cap, so i took the cap off (THIS IS HEI)and you can lift the rotor upwards (it clanks) and when you wiggle it it makes a clanking sound, loud.. this is the sound i believe i hear, i dont think a rotor should move that freely upwards or by rotating it back and forth... is this true, could i have distributer problems?
