Default Need help on completing my exhaust

I am currently in the process of replacing my stock exhaust.

I will replace it with:
-Standard Series Dynomax Headers
-Two Universal Catco Catalytic Converters(2.5" slip fit inlet/outlet, 16.5" or 14" long....Have'nt decided on the lenght for them yet)
-Two Summit Glass Pack Mufflers (2.5" inlet/outlet, 24" long)

My question is I need help with the middle part of my exhaust (from the headers to the converters). I would appreciate it if I could get some information on what to put there. Thanks

P.S. If you think that I should get a different setup from the converters back, feel free to tell me.

It sounds to me like the only thing you need is whatever length pipe is required to place the converters in their proper location. That pipe would have a flange sized to adapt from the header to the 2-1/2" pipe on one end and whatevever clamp is needed to attach to the converter on the other end. I recomend a Percy's gasket at the header flange.

I hope this is answers your question.
Happy wrenching.

Thanks jpatrick636. I have one more question though which i forgot to put on my last post. When I took a look under neath my car, it seemed like its not a straight line from where the end of the headers would be to the holes right before the converters(its like a 3" or 2.5" round hole in the support bar/chasis). Hope you know what I'm talking about.

You will have to have a muffler shop bend the pipe from the header to make everything line up.

Are you going to put the glasspacks in the same place as the stock mufflers? I don't know if you are putting turndowns on the mufflers or not, but if you are, I think the 24" will be long.
I think my Flowmasters are about 19"

I was going to just run the glass packs in a straight line from my converters. So I guess I was'nt going to put them in the same spot as the stock mufflers. (If what I want to do is even possible). Cause after I bent the pipes so it will connect to the converters after the headers, I was just going to put the glass packs right after the converters. If you understand, can you let me know if it is even possible to do that, because if it's not then I will have to put them where the stock moufflers are.

That probably won't work.
In a few years, I plan on doing the same setup that you are thinking of. I will put the converters behind the cross member. After the converters, the pipes bend toward the center of the car to get under the rear suspension.

See what many refer to as my Exhaust topic. http://www.corvettefaq.com/c3/ganeyexhaust.htm

Put the mufflers in stock location (BEST possible location), use shorter ones, & glass packs may flow better installed backwards.

JohnS_77, so what your saying is that after the converters I should have some pipes bent to the center of the car, and then run the glasspacks?

Thanks for all the help.....It looks like my biggest problem will be the bending of exhaust tubing.

Can anyone tell me exactly how their dual exhaust is setup from the headers to the end of the car, I would appreciate it. Thanks
