John - OK - with mucho help, I'll give you the weekend. But, what about
'while I'm at it' ?

Matchframe,

The 1/4" plate welds to the front and rear edge of the crossmember.
On each side, there is a piece of 1/8" plate (3/4" tall). These side pieces
weld into the crossmember just to the outside of the two holes that are
off-center. Note that the four corners (front and rear edges) are not sealed.
I allow anything to drip from the original holes, and that will drip out the
corner areas from the jack plate. The holes should allow ample air through
while driving to keep it dry.


Cardo - Yeah, it's been dragging out forever. I finally had to say 'enough' -
let's paint it. I wanted to gusset the rear kickups better .... maybe in 30 years more. :lol:
