After looking at a few of the forum posts on the topic, I thought I would check my radiator hoses before the cruising season got into full swing. Much to my suprise, none of the local parts houses handled them anymore. :nonod: Is this just in my area here in the midwest or is it common across the country? Guess our only alternative to order from Corvette specialty houses? Any other places I may have overlooked?
There must be fewer BB C3 crome bumper cars than I thought out there :skep:
I've decided to run the flexable stainless steel hoses.
They will not rot or tear or deteriate. they were a bit pricy but will last forever......and besides, they look very cool and be contorted to any
configuration without supporting brackest !!
36 inch hose with polished aluminum clamp covers was 100 clams.
3 ft. was enough for both upper and lower for me.
Duke, I tried AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts and NAPA.. AutoZone told me "not available from AutoZone" Advance tried to sell me a flexable ribbed hose, and two NAPA stores in the area did not stock the part. A local Corvette repair shop told me that his parts houses rarely have them available. I was wandering if the Corvette Specialty Vendors are buying them up so they can charge double the price plus shipping. :mad
Dave, Your solution sounds pretty attractive and isn't much more expensive than the Specialty Vendors.
