L-81 Headers?

L-81 Headers?

I have an 81 vette with a built up engine and i need some header, emmisions dont apply out here in boonville what will give me the most performance. It needs to sound like a vett not just look and run like one.

Hedman sells some nice ones. THey can have the air tubes for the 81
smog pump. They have them without (as does everyone else) if that's already gone on yours.

the L-81 take the same headers as all the other small block C3s. You just need to decide if you want to keep the smog pump or not. If you are going to headers you probably want to got to a true dual exhaust too if emissions are a requirement

The Dynomax ceramic coated Headers fit my '81 really well. If you still have the O2 sensor hooked up then Summit sell reducers that have the fitting for the sensor.

Have you pulled the computer control system yet? If not, you need to think about everything you're doing and develop a plan: carb, distributor, and tranny lockup control...
