Put in the new winshield header molding last night and the clips just arrived today. With camera at work all I can do is decribe them. Flat on bottom with no holes one side bent at 45 degrees with 2 small holes and the othr side with a rubber tip. This is not what the stock weatherstripping came with as those clips were molded into the weatherstripping and looked completely different. There are no holes on the side of the "rail" the weatherstripping fits into just on the center section. The package says for 68-72 but it doesn't look anywhere close. Any pics or somebody with a AIM. I will not drill into/ modify the header for some wrong parts.
better dig out that camera! I can't quite figger out which part you mean, and I don't know what is called what in that area. I just replaced the weatherstrip that runs along the side of my windshield. When the windows are closed (up) they are supposed to fit into this weatherstrip. Is that the piece you are talking about? MJ
That's what gets me. The old weatherstripping had clips imbedded into the weatherstriping and 1 hold down bolt, which was accesable thru a tiny slit in the weather stripping. My car has no holes drilled for this sort of clip.
Hi Cali, I replaced those on my 72, they get riveted to the stainless piece that the weatherstrip glues on to (The vertical windshield pieces). Mine had the holes for it Though. I also live in San Diego (La Mesa) your welcome to come take a look if you like? E-mail me at aviator-cfi@***.net if so. Hope this helps........ Anthony
