Broken Tach Cable
It's been awhile since I was here but it has been busy this Winter and now it's time to get the car back out. So here it is I got the car out this weekend and found the tach not working, after inspecting I found that the cabel was broke about 2 inches from the dist. I haven't looked under the dash yet, so how hard is the other end to get to? Also who has the best price on a new cabel?

The dash end of the cable is a bear to get to but you can do it without removing anything. Just reach up in there and follow the cable to the tach, you will feel a metal clip on the back and bottom of the tach where the cable contacts it, press down it then pull the cable off. Feed the new cable in through the fire wall then press it into the tach until it snaps onto the metal clip. A pain to do but it is do-able.
