Default Help Identifying my Rear End !!!

Well, the ratio in the rear of my vette. ( know I'll get letters about that Subject line !)

The numbers stamped on my diff are:
L
2 or 3
V
0
8 or 3
then a space

2E1

The numbers are not stamped very well, so they are difficult to read.

All help is appreciated. Um, with the ratio - not my rear... :smash:

I will look to see if I can find code chart. But if all you need is the ratio, the best way to know for sure is as follows. Jack up your rear end, turn the tire exacly 1 complete turn, at the same time count the number of rotations your drive shaft or input shaft to your diff. makes. This will be your ratio. ex 3.56 rear = 1 tire rotation to 3 and 1/2 (.56) rotations of your drive shaft.
