I haven't been in too much lately. I notice a lot of new faces :D . I have been getting into RC cars more lately , simply because the racing is much cheaper... Oh so I thought. This weekend a minor crasher in my Marder cost me $150. A far site less than the $3500 it cost me to replace the rear after a halfshaft blew at the track in the Vette...
Anyways I thought I'd say hi again... hows everyone doing...
I used to race RC. I have an electric TC-3 with the Ti motor, fast and fun. But since we got the vette i got no more time for it, im planning on selling it for CHEAP, i payed $700 for it, now being forced to sell it for 200....what a shame. :cry

its the reedy Ti, its not brushless but still one of the best, it came out last year, was voted the best touring car motor, lots of power, we were planning on disconnecting the 4wd on the car, and putting double wide tires in the back to prevent spin outs, but never got around to it
I am also glad your back! I want to here more about your intake, carb, distributor and aircleaner and how you fit that all under your hood. Also how does that cam feel/sound, enough vacuum to run head lights wiper door and brakes.
I was very heavy into RC cars and planes about 15 years ago No lie I had more money invested than my current vette. The RC hobby starts out looking cheap, but it can get expensive quick if competative racing is your thing. Lots of fun though and definatly less than full size racing. Just not cheap. :)

I probably have $4K + already in 9 months. Have 12 cars/trucks. But that 1/6 scale Marder 2 cycle gas (made in Germany) is a new league. I going to back out of that one and stick with the Nitro/Elec . I am in the process of making a track in the back yard (dirt/grass of course).

I had a long post on that a ways back. Lets see if I can remember..
Take RPM Air Gap intake, Holly Street Avenger (mill the choke tower off),
use a standard LT1 or 350/350 drop base cleaner and a 3 " K&N with a K&N extreme top. Thats how I fit it.
The 274XEH cam is not a loopy as I thought it would be.. Headlite come up fine, just a little slow. I have manual brake but everything else works fine...
:seeya hey long time no see  with spring around the corner, it's about time for me to get ready to go to the track for the first time this year. luckily i haven't broke anything yet
I got into RC about a year and a half ago. I thought it would be nice inexpensive hobby for me and my son. WRONG. I have 2 trucks and 2 cars. All nitro powered. Have not gotten much into racing just bashing around with the monster trucks. They are fun but not cheap. You can completly rebuild them in one night vs. years for the Vette.

I pretty much find that every time I drive one I break it. hit a tree or a rock or even on occaision ME... :smash: 1/10 scales are much cheaper to fix than 1/6th...
Yea I'vebeen doing the RC thing (cheaper). I see you are deep into the 11s how did you do that??? Did you change anything.. I never got mine to lock up well of the line. Maybe ET streets are in line ...
