ballast resistor usage?
I'm changing from a distributor with single points to a MSD pro billet with the 6al box and a blaster coil. Do I want to keep the ballast resistor, or should I get rid of it? Thanks for any and all input. :)

I voted just to bypass the ballest because you can have it there for original value/resale if needed.
But I really think the MSD6AL box will control your coil needs and any resistance would reduce spark voltage. I'm running a MSD6AL and using a Blaster 2 coil without problems. Before that the stock coil worked fine powered by the MSD box without problems.
That ballest resistor is needed to protect stock coils from continous full 12v. Stock coils can only handle 12v for short periods - during start-up. :yesnod:
