I saw one parked out in front of a store over on Babcock between Prue and DeZavala yesterday around 6:15 pm. It looked good from what I could tell - I was driving past at about 45 mph. There were several other very late model GM cars parked around it to intentionally block the view (ie, behind it's parking space shutting it in) but the rear glass and rear fascia was unmistakable. Very cool way to end a day!
lol, ok ok! Sorry! I wish I had some pictures. Unlike some of you guys, I'm no shutterbug - my wife takes all the pictures around here. It's not the first car I've seen around here before production started. I remember 5-6 years back before ford remodeled the f-150 the LAST time seeing one of them with the masks and strange black and white disguise paint around here too. SouthWest Research institute here in SA does a lot of automotive testing - I've known some of the guys in that department, and I assume that's why the cars wind up here. Anyone else in San Antonio seen test cars driving (or parked) around?
I don't doubt the story. Over the years, I've seen several "not yet released" cars around this area of town. Two years ago, I stumbled into a Motor Trend photo shoot of all the F*rd SVT cars.
OK, I have looked through all the pics and I still gotta say that in my opinion, the C-3 is a sexier beast that any high tech, high falutin' C-6. As Jeff said once before, it has too much of a Mazda front end thing happenin'.
By the way Ben, when are you going to come out to one of the CRAP get togethers at Hills n' Dales? Sounds like you are almost in the area already to shoot out for a cold carbonated, barley and hops filled beverage or two.

damnit man! I said the C 5 has the Mazda thing going on. It looks like a fat RX-7! I like the C6. It looks like a Corvette again. No more F*rd oval taillights, and it has fenders like a shark (or a midyear - depends on which picture I look at). but I must concede, you're right - there's no sexier beast than a C3. I look at mine in the garage, all torn apart, and it still looks good!
oh - and Ben has already been out (in the rain, no less) with his wife. Where were you?
CRAP. Hilarious! I hadn't heard that yet... Yeah, went out last time (in the rain) with my piece. Great bunch of guys - can't wait to see everyone's car! I think my car and one other (can't remember the guys name - beautiful blue '69 smallblock coupe) were the only ones there.

When I was there last time, I recieved several offers from the guys to supply me with refreshment - I'm going to keep tabs on who offers what and how many times, and cash them all in when I turn 21 this summer!
My apologies on the misquote! DOH! I didn't make it last time because I didn't want to drown in my car. That thing is leaking worse since I did the weatherstrips on the T's. It is always something.
