Default vacuum system question

Would installing a check valve backwards make my headlights inoperable?

I am thinking it would.

The check valve is one way directional, you are correct.

:iagree: , but my 72's has 1 connection on carb side and 2 on the other, kinda hard to reverse. (not that I couldn't, just harder :jester )

The only check valve on my 72 is right after the manifold vacuum fitting that feeds all the systems. Blow into the check valve...that should tell you flow direction.
