seized U joint on half shaft
Just found out that my driver side U joint was seized and just replaced it. Just wondered what would of been the result if this hadn't been found and fixed?? :cheers:

You would have likely broken the u-joint at some point, and had the half shaft tear up the battery box, strut rod, crossmember, etc in the process.

I have a 71 vert. Hit a pot hole while going thru the gears. Drivers rear wheel left the ground. Broke the halfshaft, bat box and bat. The universal won't rotate 360 if the wheel is airborne. When replacing the shaft you'll have to get 3 bolts in,then lower roll and install the last bolt.
