Default Blasted and now frame repair time!

After blasting the frame these are the things that have to be fixed before I paint. A good friend of mine welded for the railroad industry for years and is VERY good at what he does. He took a look at it and said he would have it straightened out in a few hours.

All other frame dimensions are correct.

The sagging drivers rear says it all

The brace that is straight

The brace that is bent

Frame and welds ok on pass side

Drivers side shows bending of frame and seperation of the two fgrame pieces

Diff mount bracket needs some work

Pass side of frame at body seal. Need to add some extra metal here

More to come,
Craig

Hey - you got it nice and clean for your buddy to weld it.

Take a close look at the front crossmember. It's the right time to throw a few
gussets in and weld the lower control arm brackets to the crossmember.

NHvette,

I'll try to get him to do that as well. I don't know how much time he will want to spend but I should try to make sure all the important places are taken care off, like those lower a-arm channels. I can't even be in the garage when he welds because of magnetic fields, high voltage and I have an implanted defibrillator - I used to work around high power, high frequency RF and had to retire. BTW, I have been watching your project for a long time and I might need your advice when it comes to my birdcage. I already know the rocker channels are in bad shape.
