Need advice on how to avoid burning the plug wire on the header. Wires are too close. ACCEL 8.8mm wires are on the car but they do not last very long. Are there different wires available? canI route the wires differently? The present setup has approx. 4" long straight boot at the plug. Burn through the boot and wire occurs very quickly!!! Any advice would be appreciated. :cry :reddevil
I went through 2 sets of MSD 8.5 super wires before going with the Jacob's wires with ceramic boots. At $200 they are not cheap, but neither is replacing numerous cheaper sets at $50 per set. Jacobs guarantees them for life. The 2.125" primary tubes don't leave much room. The smaller header sizes may simply need high temp socks to fit over the ends. These didn't work for me and only wasted more $$$ before making the correct "fix".
