My winter project is almost done :yesnod: I was able to start up the engine last weekend and it actually fired up the first time with no leaks  I can't say how well it drives yet since I haven't done the exhaust yet, but it sounds awesome with just open headers :reddevil . I am planning on doing the exhaust this weekend and I still need to tape the wires into harnesses. If you are wondering the engine draws air from over the radiator just like it did from the factory, and the air box will eventually get sealed against the hood.
Looks great,i like the air box idea too, only thing i would do is change the hose for the throttlebody to a rubber style one.But it looks great in there, nice job

Re: Winter Project update (patsnitrovette)
I love the idea of FI. I have been looking at your sig pic and it just gets the wheels rolling in my head. Maybe one of these days FI will wind up in my vette. Good to hear you got the vette up and running.
im using the stock one from a 87 trans am,im looking for a smooth one for mine in blue.
I'll have to find one of those to see if it will work. I picked one up for a 87 vette and it is a stiff plastic, and would need to be compressed the whole way
