Do any of the vendors or anyone sell repro radio block off plates. I think for right now I am going to take the radio out. Don't use it and it barely works.

Gordon,
Paragon used to sell one for around $150... It was on perpetual backorder from what I recall. They'd wait for a bunch orders or so before going through the effort of getting them (I believe that they outsourced them).
Genuine GM block off plates tend to sell for around the same amount... Although I have seen a few on ebay top $250.
I don't know if they are still offered, but you might want to give Paragon a call.
Gordon,
If your interested, I refurbish 68-76 radios and can make your sound good as new. Or you can swap yours for credit towards a restored 72 radio. Email me and let me know. Scott
Can't very well have that nasty radio hole with a new gauge set, so I put 2 lighted toggle switches in the radio **** holes and I'm gonna put this over the radio faceplate hole: http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/bc/7f4e9456...QKhWABGHrElZh.
There's a number of possibilities if you do it yourself.
