Default The Paint Job Pics

Got the car back today after 3 1/2 months in the body/paint shop. They spent a couple of days cleaning it up, but it was still pretty dirty in my mind. I worked on it all afternoon and it probably still needs a good day of cleaning. The glass and tires are a real challenge.

There was too much light when I took these pics, so will try to get some better ones later. The paint job is not exactly perfect, but he told me to bring it back for a full day in two weeks and he will fix any flaws. I have found a few already.

After just having the car back for a few hours I am convinced everything that has every been said about black paint is true. It is a real PIA. Nevertheless, I am quite happy with the result. So, the pics:

Mark, now that is the stuff. I love it. Those are some great shots. I hope mine turns out as nice as that.
Help me remember what color and brand is the paint?

A black chrome bumper shark with sidepipes and L-88 hood, it does not get any meaner than that. Beautiful car.

That is one beautiful car. Shark sin black are the best. I also chose black, and it was a pain, but the end result is so good.

Eddie: I had planned to go with GM 41U which is the 2004 Vette Color. At last minute change to GM WA 8555. Found out the 41U has some blue tint in it and wanted to go as black as black can get. Actually, it does not take much work to see your reflection in the paint. :)

Looks gorgeous.

Do you have spacers on those Cragars? They go great with black.

Thats interesting info on the 41U paint also. Ill have to see if I can spot the blue tint. Is 41U the same code 41 black used from 85 onward?

Sorry for the 20 question routine.

Best Regards, Brent...

Wow, your vette looks incredible. Black, chrome bumpers and Cragars - if I wasn't so lazy I'd paint my vert black but alas I know that my almost biweekly hose down just wouldn't cut it.
