Got the car back today after 3 1/2 months in the body/paint shop. They spent a couple of days cleaning it up, but it was still pretty dirty in my mind. I worked on it all afternoon and it probably still needs a good day of cleaning. The glass and tires are a real challenge.
There was too much light when I took these pics, so will try to get some better ones later. The paint job is not exactly perfect, but he told me to bring it back for a full day in two weeks and he will fix any flaws. I have found a few already.
After just having the car back for a few hours I am convinced everything that has every been said about black paint is true. It is a real PIA. Nevertheless, I am quite happy with the result. So, the pics:

Re: The Paint Job Pics (turtlevette)
Mark, now that is the stuff. I love it. Those are some great shots. I hope mine turns out as nice as that.
Help me remember what color and brand is the paint?

Eddie: I had planned to go with GM 41U which is the 2004 Vette Color. At last minute change to GM WA 8555. Found out the 41U has some blue tint in it and wanted to go as black as black can get. Actually, it does not take much work to see your reflection in the paint. :)
Wow, your vette looks incredible. Black, chrome bumpers and Cragars - if I wasn't so lazy I'd paint my vert black but alas I know that my almost biweekly hose down just wouldn't cut it.
