rivets for vacuum switch and Ac control
Does anyone know a source for the plastic rivets used in the AC selector and Vaccum switch on the heater controls? The parts are fine but they nylon rivets are broken.

I have been unable to find this rivet and have also learned that the selector switch on its own is unavailable.
Last night it struck me. Both the vacuum switch and the electrical one use the same rivet. I am buying a vacuum switch at $12 to get the rivet for the $34 switch. Hope this works.

I might have been tempted to buy a small carriage bolt and a nylon inserted nut. You just want to hold them gently together correct?

I was considering that approach but clearance with the lever is an issue.
I would have to modify the switch to recess the bolt. I might try it with the nut out the back if this fails. I have not checked the clearance that way

I got the Vacuum switch in today and extracted the rivet. It fits perfectly into the electrical AC/heater switch. Saved $20 :thumbs:
