My throw-out bearing in my 75 is starting to sing a little tune,,can anyone give me some clutch, pressure plate, recomendations for stock 4speed with capabilities to about 375 HP????!!!!!!!
Hays makes a nice clutch set up. I installed their street-strip clutch in my 71 behind the ZZ4, and it has worked perfectly from day one. I had a centerforce before, but it gripped too well. Occasionally it would stay gripped after I released the clutch. It caused my car to over rev a couple of times when I was racing.
Centerforce Dual Friction - very nice clutch. I beat one up in an 81 Jeep Scrambler with an 80 vette 350 in it - about 10 years and it never even hiccuped (never slipped either!).

:iagree: Just make sure you set up the fork arm and pivot stud correctly, you need an ad pivot stud to get the geometry right so if you order one get the Lakewood adj pivot stud with it, save you some time.
I would go with Centerforce, Hays last time I checked was re-boxing Valero clutches about 3yrs ago. YOU MUST! stay on top of your pedal freeplay until the Centerforce clutch is properly broken in (can take up to 3,000 miles.) The clucth disk wear causes the diaphram fingers to move rearward as the disc wears and if freeplay is not properly adjusted, a Centerforce will start to un-load when the RPM gets high and the weights bring the fingers even further back: The WORST CASE Scenario! for clutch wear. I have a dual friction in my 72 LT-1 that is used for autocross and has been Drag raced several times with slicks and is still holding up well (2800-3000 RPM starts at the strip are not easy on equipment!)
With 375 hp all you may need is a Ram or Hayes street/strip combo. The centerforce DF might be a little more than you need. Just sold that last week in C3 parts for sale

Re: Need new clutch!! (Smitty's75)
Try luke clutches for about $150 buys everyting. Bought mine through Northern Auto Parts mail order. You can easily spend twice as much money but you won't buy twice as much clutch.
