Do you have a wild guess - how long do they typically last performing good (before gradually starting to leak)?

They started leaking the day the car came off the assembly line, and went downhill from there. :D

I have the original one on my 69 and they work fine... I had a 71 several years ago that had a slow one so I replaced both of the headlight relays with new GM replacement which last less tha one year. Go figure. I replace the new ones with some used ones that I found at a swap meet and they lasted until I sold the car.There is a repair article at http://www.corvettefaq.com

Wow, didn´t know you could open them and fix :smash:

Just ordered new pair from MidAmericaDesigns - must open the old ones when new arrive and try to fix them also for later use... :cheers:
