I'm replacing the rear window of my 1975 coupe, and was wondering if anyone out there has done it and has any suggestions? I couldn't justify the $229 cost when I got a piece of replacement glass cut for $80...not original, but should replace nicely. What tools, size adhesive, application tips do you pros have?
Zip Products has a kit, new seal material, cleaner, works real nice. I did my 73, will do my 74 this year. A word of caution on the flass, use safety glass. If you get in an accident a piece of reg will shatter and could cut you or someone badly
Go for the removable. If you're patient ... Ebay has all the stuff from time to time.
The window and frame is easy to find used. It's the latches that are tough to find.
I got my removable window and frame for about $100.
