Outside mirror upgrade help for my 73
Am getting close to starting on the doors and would like to use the 81 style mirrors.
Have searched the archives for pictures and posts that talk about installing them on the 73 doors but can't find any.
Do any of them bolt up and look like they fit?
Thanks for any help.
PS. Put the last coat of primer on the front end tonight. Need to get it back on the ground for a couple hundred miles before i go nuts.

I was going to add them to my 73 when I restored it 2 years ago. I couldn't figure out where to drill the holes on the inside of the door. I took mine off of a 79. It had two approx. 1" holes on the inside to insert your socket through to tighten the nuts that hold the mirror on. I didn't think to measure when I was at the salvage yard. It sure took GM a long time to put them on the Corvette. Even my 70 and 73 Mach1's had styled mirrors in body color.
