Go to http://www.corvettefaq.com and click on the diy section dealing with steering columns that Jim Shea wrote. Find your particular application and download the exploded parts breakdown. Jim is a retired engineer from Saginaw and knows more about steering columns than any one of us ever will.
You will need a new buzzer. I believe that this piece is the copper contact that fits inside a plastic case that fits down into a slot in the steering column. Once you have removed one you can do it in your sleep. Quite simple really. IIRC, GM still sells that particular switch.
