I have a 75 coupe. Recently the headlight warning light comes on when I turn the lights on. The warning light is on the right side of the center console next to the gauges. The lights are working fine and all lamps light, both low and hi beams. Turn signals, rear lights, side markers etc. are all working. Headlights are popping up properly. My shop manual barely mentions this warning light and provides no info as to what might be wrong. Any suggestions as to cause will be greatly appreciated.
EXCELLENT PICTURES! I found the swithes in no time. The passenger side is cracked. At a minimum I need a new switch, not bad for 30 years. Now that I'm looking at it, I may also have to adjust the headlight door a bit. When in the up position, it looks slightly higher than the drivers side. The striker bar maybe pushing on the switch too hard.
