I really want these seats, but am having a hard time justifying the price. The seller has these frequently on ebay. I Emailed him a few months ago and found out the Reserve is $1050. Sorta hard to bite the bullet for some reason.
If they're new, the leather covers and foam will cost you around $700. The frame and all of the pieces are woth the extra, though it sounds to me like you could just buy them outright at the same price and any of the major Corvette supply houses.
You can buy the seat buckets for a couple of hundred dollars and then purchase the seat covers on new foam for 500.00 and come out cheaper.
I ended up finding a set in the local paper for 200.00. Seats were in good shape, only they were white. Dyed them black and now they look new. They look even better in the car.
The 79-82 seats really are a LOT better than the earlier ones- especially with the 4" side bolsters. Whenever I drive a friend's '69, after driving my '79, it's a WORLD of difference.

I've delt with this guy OFF line via email, and bought new Corvette America deluxe door panels at bargain basement prices. Try calling or emailing him an offer!!
Good luck
