Running nitrous feed line, inside or under the car?
I'm currently installing a nitrous system on my 74. I'm mounting the nitrous bottle inside behind the passanger seat and was wondering which way to run the nitrous feed line from the bottle, inside under the carpet and drill a hole some where in the firewall or go out the botom of one of the storage compartments and run the line underneath the car. Any information or pictures of how others have run there line would be appreciated. Thanks

I mounted mine the same way on my 81 and slit the carpet just behind the compartment door trim in the passengers rear corner (there was a gap between the trim and the actual fiberglass body with just enough room to get the fitting past) and ran the line under the tray to the back of the console. I then ran it inside the console up to the firewall, drilled a new hole out to the engine from there. Seems to work ok and have had no problems, also makes for a neat and clean installation. It is a good idea to pad any sharp sheet metal edges with a chunk of rubber hose or fuel line split down the side.
While the console was apart, I also took the extra time to run a couple fused wires from the battery and a good ground up to the radio area for future use. Seems like good fused power sources and grounds are tough to come by when adding new equipment.
